This spirit is rooted in Dalmaji (달맞이), the traditional Korean moon-gazing ritual where women would quietly gather at night to make wishes, confess love, and summon strength beneath the full moon.
A hidden space of reflection and connection, Dalmaji offered an emotional refuge—a rare moment of softness, expression, and shared femininity.

Today, that same energy continues in Hongdae, Korea’s iconic art district—known for its creative pulse, indie freedom, and as one of the most beloved lesbian communities in the country.
